Office Assistant

We are seeking an office assistant for a full-time, permanent position. The position offers many opportunities to learn, grow, and advance in knowledge and experience in a professional and established accounting firm. Candidate must have well-developed organization skills and follow-through to keep track of multiple ongoing projects. Must have strong communication skills and be personable to greet and speak with clients on the phone and in person. Position requires consistent attention to detail. All experience levels welcome.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • In-person, written, and telephone communications, including:
    • Making and receiving telephone calls
    • Handling incoming and outgoing correspondence
    • Greeting clients and guests upon arrival
  • Following-up with clients and tax agencies on pending matters
  • Finalizing prepared forms and statements for delivery
  • Managing the office calendar and partners’ schedules
  • Physical and electronic file and document management
QUALIFICATIONS:
· REQUIRED:
  • Bilingual: English and Spanish
  • Proficiency in Outlook, Excel, and Word
· PREFERRED:
  • Prior experience as office assistant or secretary
  • Prior experience working in an accounting office
  • Knowledge of tax and accounting matters
COMPENSATION: Negotiable based on prior experience
